The 2020 Democratic presidential field will be crowded. And lately, it seems that Senator Elizabeth Warren is the Democrat most interested in positioning herself for the spotlight. While the rest of the field plans to coast by on “I Am Spartacus” moments, name ID, and heavily edited social media videos to win over the progressive left, Warren is taking a much more calculated approach to attempt to clear the 2020 Democratic presidential field.
This morning, CNN moved her to the top of their list of Democrats most likely to run. America Rising PAC is monitoring her 2020 efforts as part of our 2020 Initiative:
January 2018: Politico reported that Warren “stocked her political staff with a research team directed to scour her past for potential vulnerabilities.” (Politico, 1/2/18)
February 2018: Warren delivered a speech to the National Congress of American Indians defending claims about her heritage and vowed to pay more attention to Native American issues. (The Boston Globe, 2/14/18)

August 2018: Warren unveiled a bill to change the mission of large corporations, laying “the policy foundation for a potential presidential bid.” (The Washington Post, 8/16/18)
March 2018: Warren headlined a DNC fundraiser and announced that she has donated $5K to each state Democratic Party in the country, along with a $15K check to the DNC. (Politico, 3/7/18)
