The Arizona Diamondbacks activated ace Zac Gallen from the injured list to start Saturday’s game against the Oakland Athletics. Gallen, with a 3.12 ERA, was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain in his previous outing at the New York Mets.
Last season, Gallen was 17-9 with a 3.47 ERA leading the Diamondbacks to the World Series. The 28-year-old has a career record of 44-35 with a 3.20 ERA, leading the NL in fewest walks and hits per innings pitched in 2022.
