Joe Jiménez is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2025 season after undergoing surgery to repair cartilage in his left knee. The procedure, which took place last week, will sideline him for approximately eight to twelve months. Jiménez, who posted a 2.62 ERA with three saves in 2024 and pitched a career-high 68 2/3 innings in 69 games, was anticipated to serve as one of Atlanta's top setup men next season. He was re-signed to a three-year, $26 million contract in November 2023 after being acquired from the Detroit Tigers, where he had previously been an All-Star in 2018.
