The Orioles added pitching prospect Chayce McDermott to their roster for his MLB debut against the Marlins. Reliever Bryan Baker was sent to Triple-A, while Jonathan Heasley was designated for assignment. McDermott, ranked as the Orioles' No. 6 prospect, will start in place of Burnes and Rodriguez.

Connor Norby joined the team as insurance for infielder Jorge Mateo, who may be placed on the injured list after an elbow injury.
