David Bell, the former manager of the Cincinnati Reds, has joined the Toronto Blue Jays as vice president of baseball operations and assistant general manager. This move comes after Bell was let go by the Reds following a disappointing season, marking the fourth consecutive year the team missed the playoffs.
During his six-year tenure with the Reds, Bell accumulated a record of 409–456 and was recognized with votes for the NL Manager of the Year award on two occasions. His extensive baseball career includes 12 seasons as a player and various coaching roles before his managerial position.
