Andrés Giménez is heading to the Toronto Blue Jays after a trade with the Cleveland Guardians, which also included pitcher Nick Sandlin. The Guardians received infielder Spencer Horwitz, who was quickly traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for three players.
Giménez, a three-time Gold Glove winner, had a solid season with a .252 batting average and nine home runs. His move to the Blue Jays comes as the team looks to improve after finishing last in the AL East.
