The Arizona Diamondbacks have made a significant acquisition by trading for All-Star first baseman Josh Naylor from the Cleveland Guardians. In exchange, the Guardians received right-handed pitcher Slade Cecconi and a 2025 draft pick.
Naylor, who had an impressive season with 31 home runs and 108 RBIs, will be a key addition for the Diamondbacks after losing Christian Walker to the Houston Astros.
Meanwhile, the Guardians have quickly secured veteran Carlos Santana to fill the void left by Naylor, marking another strategic move for the team this offseason.
