The Colorado Rockies have signed left-handed pitcher Lucas Gilbreath to a one-year contract worth $785,000, just before the deadline for contract offers to unsigned players on the 40-man roster.
Gilbreath, who underwent Tommy John surgery in March 2023, made his return to the majors last August. Despite a brief stint on the injured list due to shoulder inflammation, he has shown potential with a career record of 5-2 and a 4.36 ERA over 96 relief appearances and one start in the big leagues.
