Two-run homers by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and George Springer weren't enough as the Toronto Blue Jays fell 5-4 to the Detroit Tigers. Mark Canha and Wenceel Perez also hit two-run blasts for the Tigers.
Springer's homer brought the Blue Jays within a run, but they couldn't complete the comeback. Bo Bichette left the game with a calf injury. Jack Flaherty had a strong start for the Tigers, striking out eight.
Despite a late surge by the Blue Jays, Detroit's bullpen held on for the win.
