Michael Lorenzen of the Kansas City Royals had to leave a game against the Cleveland Guardians due to a left hamstring strain in the second inning.

After initially remaining in the game and even recording a strikeout, he was ultimately replaced by Carlos Hernández.

Lorenzen was traded from Texas on July 29 and was previously enjoying a strong performance in his last game.
