Pittsburgh Pirates rookie right-hander Paul Skenes had a strong outing against the Milwaukee Brewers, allowing no hits through seven innings. He was replaced by Colin Holderman, who gave up a single in the eighth.

Skenes, a 22-year-old All-Star, struck out 11 batters and walked one. The Pirates led 1-0 when Skenes was replaced. He previously had a no-hit outing in his second start on May 17 at the Cubs.
