The Twins' bats have gone cold despite the sunny skies in Florida this week. They were shut out for the second straight game by the Detroit Tigers. Kenta Maeda, former Twins' pitcher, dominated on the mound for the Tigers, allowing only three baserunners. Maeda's splitter was nearly untouchable for the Twins' hitters.
Joe Ryan pitched well for the Twins, but they still fell short with a 1-0 loss. The Twins had runners tossed out on the basepaths, including Alex Kirilloff and Yunior Severino. The team's road record in spring training games dropped to 1-8.
