Olivares, who has previously played for the San Diego Padres, Kansas City Royals, and Pittsburgh Pirates, had a standout season in 2023 with the Royals before struggling with the Pirates. Now, at 28, he aims to showcase his skills with the Mets, joining a roster that features notable players like Brandon Nimmo and Starling Marte.
