Griffin Canning has signed a one-year contract worth $4.25 million with the New York Mets, adding depth to their pitching rotation. The right-hander can earn up to an additional $1 million in performance bonuses based on games started.
Previously with the Los Angeles Angels, Canning had a challenging 2024 season, finishing with a 6-13 record and a 5.19 ERA. After being traded to the Atlanta Braves and subsequently released, he enters the Mets' rotation alongside other notable pitchers.
