Chris Sale of the Atlanta Braves has been awarded the National League Cy Young Award, marking a significant achievement as he became the league's first pitching triple crown winner since 2011.
In his inaugural season with the Braves, Sale secured 18 wins, 225 strikeouts, and a 2.38 ERA, leading all major league qualifiers. He also made his eighth All-Star team and won his first Gold Glove.
Sale's performance was recognized with 26 out of 30 first-place votes, while Zack Wheeler of the Philadelphia Phillies and Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates followed in the voting.
