The Pittsburgh Pirates have officially signed outfielder Tommy Pham to a one-year contract valued at $4 million, which includes $250,000 in incentives. This move comes after the Pirates had to adjust their 40-man roster, placing right-handed pitcher Dauri Moreta on the 60-day Injured List following his Tommy John surgery earlier this year.

Pham, now 37, expressed interest from the Pirates even before the previous season, but ultimately signed a minor league deal with the Chicago White Sox. During his time with the Sox, he finished with a .266 batting average across 70 games before being traded to the St. Louis Cardinals, where his performance struggled. In a brief stint with the Kansas City Royals, he managed a .228 average in 23 games, while contributing to their postseason efforts.
