The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed catcher Yasmani Grandal and left-hander Josh Fleming to one-year contracts as they begin spring training. Grandal, a two-time All-Star, has a career batting average of .237 and has hit over 20 home runs five times. Fleming, a 27-year-old pitcher, has a 19-13 record with a 4.88 ERA in four seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays.
