The Chiba Lotte Marines have announced they will post 23-year-old pitcher Roki Sasaki, allowing him to pursue a career in Major League Baseball. This opportunity presents MLB teams with a chance to acquire a potential ace at a relatively low cost.
The Texas Rangers are expected to be aggressive contenders for Sasaki, especially considering the changes in the posting system since they signed Yu Darvish in 2012. Unlike before, all 30 teams can negotiate directly with Sasaki once he is posted.
