Kyle Higashioka has signed a two-year, $13.5 million contract with the Texas Rangers, marking a significant shift after spending 16 seasons with the New York Yankees and one with the San Diego Padres. Higashioka, who has fond memories at Globe Life Park, aims to create new ones alongside All-Star catcher Jonah Heim.
In his last season, Higashioka recorded career highs with 17 home runs and 45 RBIs. The Rangers envision a complementary catching duo that will enhance their performance moving forward.
