Despite being viewed as a contender in the race for Sasaki's talents, the Rangers only managed a brief 90-minute interview in Los Angeles and did not facilitate a visit to their new stadium, Globe Life Field.

Recently acquired catcher Kyle Higashioka praised the facilities at Globe Life Field, emphasizing the impressive amenities and stating that the stadium's visiting side is the best in Major League Baseball, even comparing it favorably to Yankee Stadium. As the Rangers look to enhance their pitching staff, missing out on Sasaki may be seen as a setback, but they remain optimistic about future free-agent opportunities.
