The Washington Nationals have placed shortstop CJ Abrams on the 10-day injured list due to a right hip flexor strain. The injury, which first surfaced during a home series against Arizona, flared up again during Friday's game against Miami, forcing him out after three innings. Following imaging tests that confirmed the strain, Nationals manager Dave Martinez advised Abrams to rest and recover quickly. Abrams, who has started strong with four home runs in the season's first 11 games, expressed disappointment at the setback but is expected to return after a week and a half. In a related move, the Nationals recalled infielder Nasim Nuñez from Triple-A Rochester.
