The Brooklyn Nets face a challenging situation with injuries as they prepare to meet the Detroit Pistons. D’Angelo Russell’s recent addition won’t entirely alleviate the absences of two starters, both named Cam. Cam Johnson has been officially ruled out due to a right ankle sprain, adding to a list of games missed since January 4. Prior to this, Johnson had been a key player for the Nets, averaging 20 points, four rebounds, and three assists in 32 appearances this season.
Meanwhile, Cam Thomas continues to struggle with hamstring issues, having missed significant time since late November. He only recently returned for a brief appearance and is now set to miss another game. The Nets will also be without Bojan Bogdanovic and Maxwell Lewis due to their injuries, alongside the newly-acquired De’Anthony Melton, who is recovering from an ACL tear. Ben Simmons remains questionable for the matchup against Detroit, as he deals with lower back management.
