Mitchell Wiggins, a former guard for the Houston Rockets and father of Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins, passed away at 64 after an illness, according to his daughter. Wiggins had a six-season NBA career, playing also for the Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers, and was known for his defensive skills and offensive contributions off the bench.

Though his career faced obstacles due to suspensions within the Rockets organization, he had a notable return in the 1989-90 season.
