Canada's first Olympic men's basketball team since 2000 features 10 NBA players, a non-U.S. record. The squad is led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Thunder and Jamal Murray of the Nuggets. Canada's last Olympic qualification was in 2000 with Steve Nash. In 2021, Canada won FIBA bronze. The team will face Greece on July 27 in Paris, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo.
