Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson admits it's been hard watching important moments from the sidelines after being left out of the closing lineup for the second time in three games.

Thompson's changing role has been an adjustment for him, saying it's difficult for anyone to go from being one of the best players to not playing.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr opted to play rookie Gui Santos instead of Thompson in the closing minutes, which has been a difficult season for Thompson.

Thompson has had a series of injuries, including tearing his ACL and Achilles. His numbers have dipped this season while younger players on the team have stepped up.

Thompson says he's happy for his young teammates, despite accepting his changing role within the team.
