The Los Angeles Lakers are actively seeking to acquire a center as they deal with injuries to Jarred Vanderbilt and Christian Wood. With both players recovering from offseason procedures, the team’s depth at the center position is currently limited.
ESPN analyst Shams Charania reported that the Lakers are exploring options in the marketplace. Anthony Davis is the primary center, with Jaxson Hayes as the only backup available for the season opener.
Head coach JJ Redick has expressed a desire to utilize Davis at power forward, which would require additional center depth given the current injury situation.
