The Minnesota Timberwolves have officially promoted guard Jaylen Clark from their G League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves, following a standout performance where he scored 32 points in a recent game. Clark's impressive stats also included seven rebounds, five steals, and two assists in a close loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors.
This season, Clark has been a vital player for the Iowa Wolves, averaging 13.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.7 steals across 20 games. The Timberwolves selected him with the 53rd overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, and he signed a two-way contract with the team. Although he has been called up earlier this season, he has yet to make his NBA debut.
The Timberwolves are set to host the Los Angeles Clippers for a home game at Target Center, creating potential opportunities for Clark to make an impact in the NBA.
