Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves has been fined $50,000 for showing an obscene gesture towards an official during a recent game against the Memphis Grizzlies. This marks the fifth fine of the current season for Edwards, totaling an impressive $285,000 in penalties across just 38 games.
Earlier this season, Edwards received a $100,000 fine for using profanity during a postgame interview after a thrilling game-winner against the Houston Rockets. His candid remarks have led to additional fines for language deemed inappropriate, including a $25,000 penalty for comments after a win over the Golden State Warriors, and a $75,000 fine for criticizing officiating.
