The Minnesota Timberwolves have confirmed that rookie point guard Rob Dillingham will miss Tuesday night's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a right ankle sprain. This marks Dillingham's second consecutive game on the sidelines as he continues to recover from the injury. He was a late addition to the injury report over the weekend and was ruled out just prior to the Wolves' game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Dillingham, selected with the No. 8 overall pick in the recent NBA Draft, has had a fluctuating role on the team, participating in 15 games and averaging 3.7 points along with 1.7 assists in approximately 8.5 minutes of play per game. His last appearance was during a loss against the Atlanta Hawks on December 23.
In addition to Dillingham, Luka Garza has also been ruled out due to a right ankle sprain. Garza has made nine appearances this season, contributing an average of 3.9 points and 1.2 rebounds. Meanwhile, Daishen Nix is listed as questionable with a similar ankle issue, having played in three games with averages of 0.3 points and 1.3 rebounds. The Timberwolves are set to face the Thunder at 7 p.m. at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
