The Washington Wizards executed a trade that sent guard Jared Butler and four second-round draft picks to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for veteran guard Reggie Jackson and a 2026 first-round pick. The Wizards, currently in a rebuilding phase, opted to immediately waive Jackson, who has seen limited playing time this season.

Butler, a 24-year-old averaging 6.9 points per game, joins the 76ers alongside additional second-round picks for 2027, 2028, and two more in 2030. In a parallel move, the Wizards also waived forward Sidy Cissoko following his acquisition from Sacramento, while the 76ers parted ways with forward Pete Nance.
