Sacramento Kings rookie Devin Carter faced a setback during a game against the Orlando Magic, suffering a right shoulder injury late in the second quarter. Carter was attempting to steal the ball from Paolo Banchero when he injured his shoulder, causing immediate discomfort. The Kings ruled him out for the remainder of the game, during which he only played for 32 seconds.

Carter, who had previously undergone left shoulder surgery in July, was cleared to play and had only recently debuted on January 3 after a stint in the G League. In his brief NBA career thus far, he’s averaged 3.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in 30 games, with a notable highlight being a career-high 16-point game on March 19.
