The San Antonio Spurs have successfully acquired De'Aaron Fox in a multi-team trade that involves significant player movement. The transaction, still unfolding, also sees Zach LaVine transfer from the Chicago Bulls to the Sacramento Kings. The Spurs, in addition to Fox, will also receive Jordan McLaughlin, while they part ways with Tre Jones, Zach Collins, and Sidy Cissoko, along with five draft picks (three first-round and two second-round picks).

In this deal, the Kings gain LaVine, Cissoko, and three first-round picks, alongside three second-round picks, while sending Fox and Kevin Huerter to San Antonio. The Bulls receive Huerter, Collins, and Jones along with their own 2025 first-round pick after sending LaVine and a second-round pick to Sacramento. Notably, the Kings were hesitant to include Stephon Castle in the deal, valuing him as part of their future along with Fox and rising star Victor Wembanyama.
