In response to a third consecutive loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Utah Jazz have made roster changes by signing David Jones to a two-way contract from the G League's Mexico City Capitanes.

To accommodate this move, the Jazz waived Jason Preston, who had a brief stint with the team. Jones, a promising 22-year-old from the Dominican Republic, previously played for the Philadelphia 76ers and had a successful college career at the University of Memphis.
