Markkanen, who recently signed a significant contract extension, struggled in his last game against Sacramento, playing only 17 minutes. Coach Will Hardy confirmed that despite practicing, Markkanen was not fit to play.

Rookie Kyle Filipowski took Markkanen's place in the lineup.
