The Anaheim Ducks have traded defenseman Cam Fowler to the St. Louis Blues as the NHL Trade Freeze approaches. In the deal, Anaheim receives a 2027 2nd-round pick and minor league defenseman Jeremie Biakabutuka, while St. Louis gets Fowler and a 2027 4th-round pick. The Ducks are retaining 38.5% of Fowler's cap hit.
Fowler, who has struggled this season, was deemed expendable after the Ducks acquired Jacob Trouba from the New York Rangers. St. Louis aims to bolster their roster under general manager Doug Armstrong, especially with injuries affecting their defense.
