The Boston Bruins secured a 2-0 victory over the Ottawa Senators, thanks in part to Joonas Korpisalo's stellar 29-save performance against his former team. Korpisalo achieved his third shutout of the season since joining the Bruins, after a trade that sent Vezina Trophy winner Linus Ullmark to Ottawa. David Pastrnak assisted Morgan Geekie's goal in the second period and sealed the win with an empty-netter in the final seconds.
The Senators struggled offensively, managing only 24 shots and being shut out for the second consecutive game. Anton Forsberg made 24 saves, but could not prevent the Bruins from dominating defensively, especially during a key penalty kill in the third period when they faced a two-man disadvantage for 32 seconds.
