The Buffalo Sabres acquired forward Ryan McLeod from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for young prospect Matthew Savoie. McLeod, a key player in the Oilers' playoff run, was signed to a $2.1 million deal. The Sabres also re-signed defenseman Henri Jokiharju to a $3.1 million contract.
Seattle Kraken signed Eeli Tolvanen to a two-year deal worth $6.95 million. Tolvanen, previously with Nashville, has been a key player for the Kraken alongside Yanni Gourde and Oliver Bjorkstrand.
Additionally, Seattle's center Matty Beniers and Washington's Terik Parascak signed new contracts, and Berkly Catton was signed by the Kraken after an impressive season with the Spokane Chiefs.
