The Calgary Flames have locked in two key players, re-signing defenceman Ilya Solovyov and centre Cole Schwindt.
Solovyov, 24, has inked a two-year contract that includes a two-way deal in the first year and transitions to a one-way contract in the second, valued at $775,000 annually. Schwindt, at 23, secured a one-year, two-way contract worth $800,000.
Both players had notable contributions at the AHL level, with Schwindt leading in playoff goals.
