The police chief in London, Ont., apologizes for the delay in the sexual assault case against five former members of Canada's world junior hockey team. The investigation was initially closed without charges in 2019 before it was reopened with new evidence. The players charged with sexual assault are Dillon Dube, Carter Hart, Michael McLeod, Cal Foote, and Alex Formenton. McLeod is also facing an additional charge. Lawyers for the players will defend them against the allegations.
The charges relate to an alleged incident at a hotel in London in June 2018.
