The Chicago Blackhawks have made significant cuts to their training camp roster, sending Zach Sanford and Brett Seney to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. Mitchell Weeks has also been released from his professional tryout and returned to the AHL.

Sanford, a veteran with experience across seven NHL teams, had a mixed season last year, while Seney has been a standout performer in the AHL, nearly achieving a point-per-game average. Meanwhile, Weeks is expected to return to the ECHL as the goaltending situation stabilizes.
