The Colorado Avalanche acquired the rights to Kevin Mandolese from the Ottawa Senators, adding depth to their goaltending. Mandolese, a 23-year-old Canadian, has mostly played in the AHL with Belleville Senators. The Avs sent a draft pick to Ottawa as part of the deal.
