Columbus Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner is set to miss a significant portion of the season following shoulder surgery just before the opener. The 31-year-old forward sustained the injury during practice and underwent the procedure at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
General manager Don Waddell expressed hope for Jenner's return before season's end. Jenner, who has been the captain since the 2021-22 season, is the franchise's all-time leader in games played and ranks third in goals and points.
