The Dallas Stars will be missing defenseman Matt Dumba for their upcoming game against the San Jose Sharks due to a lower-body injury. Coach Pete DeBoer confirmed that Dumba is week-to-week but will not need surgery.

Dumba sustained the injury during a recent game against the New York Islanders, where he was tripped by Casey Cizikas. Despite a brief return to the ice, he was unable to continue playing.

Brendan Smith will take Dumba's place in the lineup as the Stars look to maintain their strong defensive performance.
