The Dallas Stars have placed defenseman Matt Dumba on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury sustained against the New York Islanders. Dumba's injury occurred during a fall in the game, and he is expected to be out for a week but will not need surgery.

In response, the Stars have recalled forward Matěj Blümel from the AHL. Blümel had an impressive season with the Texas Stars, leading the team in goals and earning a spot in the AHL All-Star Classic.
