The Dallas Stars have announced the NHL debut of Arttu Hyry, a 23-year-old forward from Oulu, Finland, who will play against the Ottawa Senators. Head coach Pete DeBoer confirmed the news during the morning skate. Hyry, who went undrafted, was signed by the Stars in April and has been impressive in the AHL with the Texas Stars, scoring 26 points in 29 games, including a 10-game point streak.
This call-up comes as the Stars deal with injuries to key forwards Tyler Seguin and Mason Marchment. Hyry becomes the fourth rookie to debut for the Stars this season, joining teammates Oskar Bäck, Lian Bichsel, and Justin Hryckowian.
