Jack Campbell, goalie for the Detroit Red Wings, has entered the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program, as announced by the league and union. He will be away from the team indefinitely while receiving care.
The 32-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Red Wings earlier this year after stints with several teams, including the Edmonton Oilers and Toronto Maple Leafs. Campbell's return to on-ice activities will depend on clearance by program administrators.
