Zach Hyman, forward for the Edmonton Oilers, has taken a significant step off the ice by leading a group that has purchased the Brantford Bulldogs, a team in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The acquisition was officially approved by the league's board of governors, marking a new chapter for the Bulldogs, who were previously owned by Michael Andlauer, the majority owner of the Ottawa Senators.

The Bulldogs made their return to Brantford last season, revitalizing OHL hockey in the region for the first time since 1984. With a growing fanbase at the Civic Centre, the new ownership group is working towards establishing a long-term lease with the city, aiming to develop plans for a new arena.
