Patrik Laine is set to make his highly anticipated regular-season debut for the Montreal Canadiens against the New York Islanders at the Bell Centre.

Laine had been recovering from a sprained left knee sustained during the preseason. He is projected to play alongside teammates Kirby Dach and Juraj Slafkovsky. Meanwhile, Joshua Roy has been assigned to the AHL's Laval Rocket, and Samuel Montembeault will be the starting goalie for the game.
