Today NHL general managers made tough decisions on pending RFAs by issuing QOs or not. Montreal Canadiens GM Kent Hughes made moves on the blue line and extended QOs to key players. Some players like Ylonen and Norlinder weren't offered QOs. Lias Andersson also let go after a failed stint with Kings.
The Canadiens now have 9 contract spots open, leaving room for prospects or free agents. With cap space available, Hughes may look for short-term deals to boost offensive production. Stay tuned to see the team's next moves!
