The Colorado Avalanche have made a strategic move by acquiring center Juuso Parssinen from the Nashville Predators. In this trade, the Avalanche not only gained Parssinen but also received a seventh-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft. In exchange, they have sent forward Ondrej Pavel and a third-round pick in 2027 to Nashville.
Juuso Parssinen, who is 23 years old, has had a modest start to the season, recording two goals and three assists in 15 games with the Predators. Over his career, he has accumulated a total of 16 goals and 26 assists across 104 games during his 2 1/2 seasons with Nashville. His potential and experience could provide a valuable boost to the Avalanche's lineup.
On the other hand, Ondrej Pavel, who is 24, was signed by Colorado as a free agent after a successful stint at Minnesota State University-Mankato. However, his NHL career with the Avalanche has yet to take off, as he has not registered any points in his two games played so far.
